BRIGADE STANDPIPES

Standpipes are designed to obtain water from underground hydrants.

Standard shaft height is 30”. The recognised standard inlet in the UK is 2 1/2” Female Hydrant Round thread to BS750, options include Female hydrant Vee Thread, 2 Lug Bayonet, Male Belfast hydrant Vee Thread.

The female instantaneous outlet can be supplied in singular or double form. The double headed type is supplied with a blanking plug allowing the user to operate as a single head where necessary.

The connection of the head to the shaft can be either plug in type(c/w a double release mechanism) or non detachable swivel type.

For all non Fire Brigade applications, standpipes with anti siphon (non return) valves should be used.

For replacement parts to the single twist release mechanism (within the female instantaneous outlet) refer to instantaneous adaptors section.

BRIGADE STANDPIPE WITH NON-RETURN VALVE

For all non Fire Brigade applications a standpipe with a check valve should be used to prevent the back flow of soiled water into the mains supply.

Standard Check valve size is 51mm (in Brass), a larger 64mm version is available upon request.

Available with the option of either single or double-head outlet.

Standard inlet is 2 1/2” Female Round thread inlet unless otherwise requested.

Material: Light Alloy or Gun Metal.

STANDPIPE SPARES

False Spindles - used to adapt a standard key and bar to suit a non standard spindle on an old or damaged hydrant. Various sizes available.

Standpipe heads - Plug in Type, both single and double.

Brass Non return valve c/w 2” Fem BSP to each end.

Washers to suit 2 1/2” Hydrant Round thread standpipe inlet and 2 1/2” Instantaneous to suit the standpipe outlet.

Blanking caps 2 1/2” Hydrant Round Thread Caps to securely seal hydrants.

Adaptors 2 1/2” Hydrant Round Thread x Female BSP Thread.
